First meeting with the ocean and getting the pilgrim credentials in Irún | Day 3 of Camino del Norte
That day started on another beautiful sunny and warm morning on the coast. When we started walking the first thing we saw was the spectacular beach with the rocks in the water that in the morning light looked even greater. The waves were crushing into the shore creating lots of foam and it was truly mesmerizing. We were learning more and more about ocean and getting to know it better and better. Garden of Eden and Magical Castle | Day 2 of Camino del Norte
It was the first complete Day of our Camino when we did around 17 kms and walked through the village Saint Jean de Luz, Ciboure and Sokoa and got to the outskirts of the French border city Hendaye. This day we already felt better and more energized not in our best physical state but much better than yesterday. There’s also the fact of adjustment to the walking routine when your body needs time to get into the rhythm, normally it takes several days for us. So we woke up fresh and ready to hit the trail. We got kicked out of the camping! | First day of Camino del Norte
Our first official day started at 9 am when we were woken up by the people and cars moving around in the camping that we found the night before. We slept only for 5 hours, still tired from the yesterday nightmare, but we had nothing to do but start walking and walk at least several kms. Because even though we didn’t have a plan to rush we still wanted to be moving everyday and getting closer to our goal.
