Final day getting to Santiago de Compostela | Camino del Norte – Day 32
On the Day 32 of our Camino de Santiago del Norte we got from the village O Grove to the city Santiago de Compostela. The night was windy and the rush of wind were very strong so we had another bad sleep night. Also we were running out of food and hoped for the supermarket to be open in the morning. So we decided to pack everything up and cook the breakfast at some beach on the way. The camping we liked quite a lot, it was spacious and big, had a lot of plots to choose from with the cold water source in each. The only downside compared to…

Exploring Island area of Sanxenxo, A Lanzada and O Grove in Galicia | Camino del Norte – Day 31
On the Day 31 of our Camino de Santiago del Norte we hiked from the town A Lanzada to O Grove in Galicia. It was a rainy morning and we had to stay in the tent all the time packing our clothes. It is always extremely hard and inconvenient. And most importantly the tent gets so soaking wet that it weighs a ton and the next evening we have a completely wet tent to sleep in. But we had to move and after hard packing we were out of the camping. We hadn’t much time to look around it but it was quite a small elongated camping close to the…

Scenic natural trail Ruta del Cantabrico in Galicia | Camino del Norte from Foz to Valdoviño – Day 30
On the Day 30 of our Camino de Santiago del Norte we got from the town Foz to Valdoviño in Galicia. It was a beautiful sunny morning when we woke up in the camping San Rafael. We came there very late yesterday night and could have a look at where we are only today. The camping was nice, quite small and great located close to the beach. There were no people but us and another couple so it was very quiet and clean. As we walked out of it we were right at the beach that was curative. Locals say that the people who have respiratory problems actually recover there.…

Following the GR E9 – great alternative to Camino del Norte | From Navia to Tapia de Casariego – Day 28
On the Day 28 of our Camino de Santiago del Norte we got from Navia to Tapia de Casariego in Asturias. We woke up to a quiet chilly morning in the field. At night it was windy but we were warm because we covered all the sides of the tent with a hay that we found at a place(sometimes we use tree branches, leaves and fir depending on a place). We discovered that it helps a lot to keep the warm air inside especially in an open space area like that day and when the nights are getting colder. So we started the day very early and we didn’t even…

Perfect and Easy Coastal Trail on Camino del Norte – Las Barqueras, Barayo, Puerto de Vega- Day 27
On the Day 27 of our Camino de Santiago del Norte we got from las Barqueras to the outskirts of Navia in Asturias. The morning was fresh and chilly so we got up quite late and didn’t hurry to start hiking. We felt like the autumn will gain its power very soon. Camping Playa de Otur gave us the opportunity to discover a very beautiful beach and it was already enough to say that we liked it. But the place itself wasn’t bad at all – there were lots of space, lots of big trees around, it is very green with many robins living there. Just the dogs from nearby…

Splendid natural area of Cabo Bustu in Asturias, Spain | Camino del Norte from Cadavedo to Luarca – Day 25
On the Day 25 of our Camino de Santiago del Norte we got from Cadavedo village to the town Luarca in Asturias. We woke up really early that day to be in time to catch the train. It was our great motivation. We wanted to travel 2 stops and to get off on the station Caneiru so that we have more time to explore another beautiful cliff. And also we saw that most of the trail was on or near the road and we didn’t want to walk all that distance. So we got ready as quickly as possible and rushed to the train station. We waited for the train…

Camino sucks – getting away from the car roads | Camino del Norte from Cudillero to San Pedro de la Ribera – Day 23
On the Day 23 of our Camino de Santiago del Norte we got from the village Cudillero to San Pedro de la Ribera beach in Asturias. We finally decided to take our first day off and stay in the camping L’Amuravela in Cudillero. We felt like we needed it a lot by our physical state. And it was even weird not to wrap up our tent and staff in a day it was already like an everyday habit. But it felt so nice. We explored a little bit of this fishing village which was very unusual located in the couloir. Some houses were really old and were threatening to fall…

Going hungry on the Camino! | Camino del Norte from Bufones de Pria to Ribadesella in Asturias, Spain – Day 20
On the Day 20 of our Camino de Santiago del Norte we got from the Bufones de Pria to the town Ribadesella in Asturias, Spain. The place we found for a camp was nice and secluded. Only the dogs were barking all night and disturbing our sleep. But nevertheless we slept well and at least the tractor didn’t come to work at that field in the early morning, we were a bit worried about that. So we set up the alarm at 7.30 am but got up an hour later cause we find it’s so hard to wake up when it’s dark outside. And now when the day was getting…

Hiking through Wonderful Bufones de Arenillas and beautiful beaches in Asturias, Spain | Camino del Norte in Pendueles, Llanes, Celorio – Day 18
On the Day 18 of our Camino de Santiago del Norte we got from the campsite “La Paz” in Pendueles to the campground “Playa de Troenzo” in Celorio. We woke up pretty late to a cloudy morning in a beautiful location at camping La Paz. We were more than happy with it because of its incredible location between the two beaches and unusual concept. It was extremely hard to wake up to the gloomy weather that was staying lately and you know when you like the place you kind of don’t hurry to leave. We tried to pack everything up as quickly as possible and get on the trail. The…

Spectacular Atlantic Oceanside and the Most Secluded Campground | Camino del Norte from Pechón to Pendueles – Day 17
On the Day 17 of our Camino de Santiago del Norte we got from the village Pechón to the Campsite “La Paz” in Pendueles. We slept very well with the sound of the ocean wash. We left the camping at a very late hour – 12 a.m. We were filming my favourite hairstyles for hiking(the bathrooms were very spacious and the light was perfect for that) and also because we slept in a bit. The lady on a reception gave us a 10 percent discount and put us a camping stamp which was very nice, now this special place will stay in our credential as well. The start of the…
